RoboCop Statue Could Be Coming to Detroit

Detroit might get a RoboCop statue after all.

Just a week ago, Detroit mayor and former NBA great Dave Bing shot down a suggestions that the city erect a statue of its most famous fictional cyborg crime fighter.

However fans of the film have stepped in, and have now raised pledges for more than the 50,000 dollars required to build the statue.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Bing has reconsidered his position, and is working with the group to find a public space for the statue.
