PINGREE, Idaho (AP) — Officials say human remains found in an eastern Idaho lake may belong to a person who drowned in 2009.

The Idaho State Journal reports Bingham County sheriff's deputies were called to the McTucker Ponds on Sunday after a visitor found a skull and other human bones near where a creek meets the ponds.

Sheriff Craig Rowland said investigators believe the remains may be connected to a drowning that happened in 2009 but officials are still working to make a positive identification.
