Evo 2014's Killer Instinct and BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma's tournaments have gotten a lot more competitive with these significantly bigger prize pools.

According to IGN, Razer has announced that it will be increasing the prize pool for the Killer Instinct tournament at Evo 2014 by $10,000. This is a rather surprising donation considering that Razer predominantly makes gaming hardware and accessories for PC. Considering that Capcom itself added the same amount to Ultra Street Fighter IV's tournament, we must applaud Razer for this generous donation to the fighting game community. Recently, Arc System Works and publishing company Aksys added a straggering $30,000 to Evo 2014's BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma tournament. These generous donations suggest that major fighting gaming tournaments and broadcast game events are going to have higher viewership numbers and increased production values in the future.

Evo 2014 is happening July 11 through July 13 at the Las Vegas Hotel and Casino. We'll definitely be watching the Ultra Street Fighter IV, Killer Instinct, BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma and Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tournaments.
