TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – Think of it as a Christmas party.

On Dec. 19, the Idaho Transportation Department will hold a meeting about transportation in the state, and you’re invited to either attend the meeting or join the discussion on the conference call. The meeting is scheduled from 9 a.m. to noon at ITD Headquarters, 3311 W State St. in Boise.

The public meeting, overseen by ITD’s Interagency Working Group, will focus on two main topics: 1) the statewide public transportation plan; and 2) transporting those with mental-health disabilities.

“The Statewide Public Transportation Plan outlines the funding available to public transportation outlets throughout the state,” according to ITD. “The mental-health agenda item reflects a new effort from the IWG to address the transportation needs of citizens with mental health disabilities and how best to serve this gap population.
