TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – A truck driver received a surprise a little after 9 a.m. today when his PSI Environmental Systems garbage truck caught fire while driving his route.

He pulled into a parking lot at 591 Addison Ave. West, where fire crews quickly put out the flames. Loose garbage from the truck fell near the engine and caught fire, said driver Chad Hall.

“These trucks are really made to carry bags of trash,” he said, “but a lot of people will put loose trash in their bins.”

He said fire crews responded within a matter of minutes.
