President Obama Confirms Osama bin Laden Killed

President Barack Obama says Osama bin Laden has been killed. The President made a seven-minute statement late Sunday night.

Television outlets carried video of crowds gathering at the White House, singing and chanting “USA.”

bin Laden was the mastermind of the Sept. 11 attacks in New York City and at the Pentagon.
Obama closed his statement with a part of the Pledge of Allegiance: “We are one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.”
