UPDATE: 10:13 AM - As of 10:13 this morning, power has been restored to all customers. That is the word from Idaho Power. The cause has been attributed to a Sub Station Error. Stephanie McCurdy said it was a rather quick fix once they figured out what the problem was.

Twin Falls, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) - About 5000 customers in the Twin Falls area lost power this morning. The power outage is also affecting several traffic signals in the city. According to Josh Palmer with the city, the intersections include Blue Lakes and Addison, Blue Lakes and Heyburn, 6th and Shoshone and Addison and Locust.

The power loss was noted around 9:30 this morning. Stephanie McCurdy with Idaho Power said the large power outage is affecting residents and businesses along Blue Lakes, Addison, Buchannan , Filer Avenue, Sunrise and Heyburn streets.

The current numbers of those without power have been decreased to 4100. Two crews are patrolling the lines looking for a cause. It’s not known at this time when power will be restored.
