JEROME, Idaho ( KMVT/KSVT ) – A 20-year-old Jerome woman charged last summer for vehicular manslaughter was scheduled for a court appearance next Monday, but the hearing has been cancelled because no one can find her.

Cynthia Martinez faces up to $10,000 in fines and 10 years in prison in the death of 19-year-old Alec Humbach. Police records say Martinez ran a stop sign and killed Humbach when she collided with his vehicle last summer.

Martinez was scheduled for a court appearance on Monday, but today, a Jerome County court administrator said Martinez cannot be located. Police say they are searching for her.
