TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Police in south-central Idaho say a Twin Falls man terrorized a woman for months by poisoning her dogs, threatening to rape her and sending hundreds of text messages from blocked numbers.

The Times-News reports Christopher Delfeido Gonzales was arraigned Wednesday on a first-degree stalking charge. According to court documents, the woman didn't know who was harassing her until she noticed the messages stopped while he was around. Gonzales would anonymously scare the woman, then meet up with her to console her.

Documents show the woman met Gonzales online through a dating site. The flood of text messages started after she denied his romantic interest. Police arrested Gonzales after seeing video footage of Gonzales purchase dog bowls and antifreeze. The woman had previously reported finding antifreeze in her dogs' bowls.
