SHOSHONE, Idaho (AP) — Police have arrested one person and are looking for two more connected to a shooting in the Idaho desert.

The Times-News reports that Sgt. Scott Denning says Lincoln County Sheriff's deputies are processing arrest warrants for the two suspects. They expect a judge to sign the warrants Tuesday.

The sheriff has sent out a statewide alert to law enforcement to watch for the two men.

Denning says the men are suspected of shooting another man and leaving him for dead in the desert around 4 a.m. Saturday. The man was able to call 911 from a cellphone at about 9:30 a.m.

Denning says the man was taken to a local hospital with multiple gunshot wounds and was in critical condition Monday morning. He is expected to survive.
