(KLIX)- Filer Police took a man into custody on Sunday after attempting to rob a gas station. According to Filer Police Chief Tim Reeves at around 6:45am Sunday  24 year old Aymere Gebremedhin walked into the gas station on the east end of Filer and demanded food and gas. According to Reeves the suspect may have committed another robbery earlier in Twin Falls and had stolen a car and assaulted another person. Reeves says the man allegedly threatened the attendant's life if she didn't give him what he wanted. Another customer walked into the station and the suspect attempted to steal another car but was unable to. He then got back into the stolen car from Twin Falls and a short pursuit happened. A Filer police officer caught up with the suspect and arrested him without incident at 1900 E on Highway 30. No weapons were found on him. Chief Reeves says the suspects is due for arraignment Tuesday. The man was booked on one count of robbery and one count of attempted robbery.
