SHOSHONE, Idaho (AP) — Police say two men shot and left a man for dead in the Idaho desert after his girlfriend asked them to help her end their relationship problems.

The Times-News reports that police have charged a Filer woman with ordering the attempted murder of her boyfriend, 29-year-old Francisco Javier Bravo-Martinez. Bravo-Martinez was left for dead in the desert southwest of Shoshone after the Jan. 23 shooting. He survived and is recovering from his injuries.

Police say one of the accused shooters told investigators the woman asked him to "take care of" her boyfriend because he was abusive and she was done with the relationship.

The woman is the third person to be arrested in connection to Bravo-Martinez's shooting. A fourth suspect is still at-large.
