A "shocking" new Pokemon project is going to be announced next week, according to a Pocket Monster teaser site.

Kotaku reports that a Pokemon teaser site has gone up, previewing a huge, upcoming announcement for the Pokeball-throwing franchise. While this announcement did not specify if this was in regards to a new video game, anime or trading card game expansion, we're still glad to see the hype that the Pokemon name still brings.

The translation of the teaser site says the following: "this summer, details of a stunning new project from Pokemon will be announced." Kotaku also mentions that the Japanese word for "new" used in the sentence could also be interpreted as "shocking" or "stunning."

The teaser site mentions that Tsunekazu Ishihara, the head of The Pokemon Company, will appear during the Aug. 26 broadcast on NicoNico for the new project. Also appearing are voice actors Nobuhiko Okamoto and Aoi Yuki. Yuki originally voiced Gym Master Iris in the Pokemon anime series. Famitsu's Bunbun Maru will be hosting the event along with fashion model Ayana Tsubaki.

Here's to hoping we get a live action TV series with a CGI Pikachu or Pokemon Snap being remade for Wii U. The event goes live on Aug. 26.
