Platinum Announces Scalebound, Xbox One Exclusive

Microsoft and Platinum Games announced that Scalebound will be coming exclusively to Xbox One, and showed a cinematic trailer.

Hideki Kamiya, co-founder of Platinum Games, took to the stage to announce the game. The trailer shows a teenage male protagonist and his pet dragon fighting off a far larger monster. To finish off his opponent, the sword-wielding protagonist transformed his clothes into dragon scale armor.

No gameplay was shown, but from what we have seen, it looks to be a cross between Monster Hunter and Devil May Cry with a touch of Bayonetta sensibility. Hopefully, we'll get a fuller picture of the game this week during E3.
