Plane Diverts to Boise After Pilot Suffers Heat Attack
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A spokeswoman says a medical emergency among the crew of a Seattle-bound United Airlines flight prompted an emergency landing in Boise. Boise airport spokeswoman Patti Miller says an apparent heart attack on-board United flight 1603 prompted the emergency landing just before 8 p.m. on Thursday. Miller says initial reports said the flight's captain suffered the heart attack. Fox News is reporting that the pilot later died at the hospital. The flight originated in Houston and was headed to Seattle. David says the airline is working to accommodate the 161 passengers who are in Boise waiting for a flight to Seattle.
