MOSCOW, Idaho (AP) — New Idaho football coach Paul Petrino has hired three assistant coaches. Petrino hired Ronnie Lee as defensive coordinator. Lee is a former Washington State defensive back who was most recently running backs coach and special teams coordinator at Indiana State.

Petrino also hired Mike Anderson as linebackers coach. Anderson played linebacker and defensive end at Idaho from 2002-2005, and has been an assistant coach at Washington. Also hired was Bryce Erickson, who will coach either the receivers or quarterbacks. Erickson is the son of former Idaho coach Dennis Erickson and was born in Moscow, Idaho. He has spent most of his coaching career in the college ranks, but last season was head coach at South Albany High School in Oregon.
