Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth Trailer: Jump into Battle
Take a peek at the first-person, dungeon-crawling action in Persona Q in the trailer above. You’ll move through the mysterious labyrinth, corridor by corridor and room by room, all while in the first-person perspective. This setup should be familiar to anyone who’s played other Atlus dungeon-crawlers, like the games in the Etrian Odyssey series.
Once you jump into a battle, things should start feeling more like the Persona games you’ve come to know and love. You’ll attack, defend, fire off spells using your personas and use items. Once more, certain enemy types are weak against different spell-types, so it’s in your best interest to learn the rock-paper-scissors nature of the enemy/spell types. It’s refreshing to see that once all of the enemies are knocked down after being hit with strong attacks, you can initiate an All-Out Attack, the famous dogpile-like maneuver from the series that has everyone jump in to dole out some punishment.
Expect to see Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth hit the 3DS in Fall 2014.
