Paul Postal Worker Admits to Stealing from Post Office

PAUL, Idaho (KLIX) A Paul woman admitted to stealing money from the Postal Service in court on Wednesday. The U.S. Attorney Wendy Olson says Tana Stimpson, 51, pleaded guilty to misdemeanor theft of postal service property.

In the plea agreement, Stimpson agreed that in November 2015 she sold a money order worth $360 and used funds from the sale for her own use. She was also accused of not reporting the sale of about 18 money orders on time.

Stimpson could face a year in prison, fine of $100,000, and a year of supervised release. She will be sentenced in early 2017.
