Idaho Power has restored the power to Hagerman residents. Update: 1:15 PM: KMVT-TV is reporting:

Power has been restored to most of the customers. Cold temperatures and high load is being blamed for the outage. According to spokesman Brad Bowlin, the customers are being brought on line in groups to prevent further damage to equipment.

Update: 12:00 PM: KMVT-TV is reporting:

Gooding County, Idaho (KMVT-TV) Power is off for about 2000 customers today in Gooding County. The communities of Bliss and Hagerman and many rural residents near those two towns are affected. According to Idaho Power Spokesman Brad Bowlin they have not determined the cause of the outage so they are not able to estimate when the power will be back on. About 1258 customers lost power at 7:17 this morning and the remaining 742 went dark about 10am. Power company officials believe the two instances are related and are working to determine where the problem is. Because of the outage, both the Bliss and Hagerman School Districts closed schools.

9:37 AM:  Idaho Power is reporting that 2,014 homes are without power today in Hagerman, Idaho.
