OSHA Fines Two Companies After Worker Killed in Sun Valley

Sun Valley, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has completed a safety investigation into a fatal construction site accident that took place in Sun Valley last November.

One worker was killed and another injured when a wall collapsed on the Diamond Back Town Homes construction site. As a result of the investigation, both Magleby Construction, who is overseeing the project, and Gonzalez and Sons construction, who were working on the wall at the time, received two safety citations with associated fines.

One citation was for the wall falling and inadequate bracing at the time of the accident. Another citation was for fall protection and needing guard rails to be on the second floor of the building.
