ONTARIO, Ore. (AP) — Police are searching for a man who they say fled an eastern Oregon home after a gun discharged, injuring a 4-year-old boy. The boy was hit in the arm when the gun fired late Saturday and was taken to a hospital in Boise, Idaho with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say a felony warrant has been issued for 33-year-old Juan Jose Moreno-Alvarez of Ontario charging him with assault. Police say they consider him to be armed and dangerous. The shooting is still under investigation and it's not yet clear who was holding the gun or how it discharged.
