North Idaho Log Truck Driver Killed in Crash

PIERCE, Idaho (AP) — A 23-year-old northern Idaho man has died after losing control of a log truck and crashing on a curve near Pierce.

Idaho State Police say Christopher J. Schmidt of Cottonwood died Wednesday morning after the fully-loaded truck went off State Highway 11 and overturned.

Police say Schmidt wasn't wearing a seatbelt and died at the scene.
