No More Time For Idaho Lottery Winner

Time has officially run out for one lucky winner to claim a $1 million Powerball jackpot.  Idaho Lottery officials say a winning Powerball ticket from a June 20 drawing expired Friday without anyone stepping forward to lay claim to the cash.  Now, the money will be turned over to the state to fund public schools and buildings. The lottery will still pay out $20,000 to the store in Meridian that sold the winning ticket.  It’s not the first time that a winning ticket issued in Idaho went 180 days without being snatched up by the winner. Two years ago, a $1 million Powerball ticket sold in Irwin along the Idaho-Wyoming border went unclaimed.
