TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – A passenger car rear-ended a school bus this afternoon in Twin Falls, but no students were on the bus when the crash occurred.

The crash, which happened around 3 p.m. near the 400 Block of Blue Lakes Boulevard, did not result in any injuries, according to Twin Falls Police Officer Jerry Hutchison.

The bus driver and his wife were the only ones on board at the time of the crash, he said.

The passenger car was driven by a teenager learning to drive. Three people were in the car at the time, Hutchison said.

Minimal damage occurred to the bus, but the car’s front end was mashed.

The bus was on its way to Harrison Elementary School to pick up students when the crash happened, said Eva Craner, spokeswoman for the Twin Falls School District.

The driver left a little early today, she said, and so the bus was delayed to pick up students by only about three minutes.
