KIMBERLY, Idaho (KTVB) - A man was airlifted from the scene Tuesday afternoon after a crash with a school bus outside Kimberly. The Twin Falls County Sheriff's Office is investigating the crash, which happened just before 3 p.m. near 3700 N and Cache Springs Road.

The sheriff's office said a Head Start bus was eastbound on 3700 N, and a vehicle was westbound. The driver of the vehicle passed another vehicle and attempted to get back in his own lane when the bus hit him on the driver's side, the sheriff's office said. The driver was transported by Life Flight to a hospital in Pocatello.

There was one driver and five kids on the bus, but none of them were injured. The sheriff's office said although the investigation is continuing, it's believed the driver who was hurt had some kind of medical issue.
