Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - The Jerome Rural Fire Department responded to a call of a shed fire early this Monday morning.

Fire Chief Joe Robinette said that the shed, roughly 20 by 40 feet in size, had just been constructed. The shed contained Tools and miscellaneous equipment. An attached hay storage shed which was fully loaded with horse hay was also destroyed along with a four animal horse trailer.

Chief Robinette said the first call for help came in at 3:30 a.m. Crews were called out again around 8:30 a.m. Foul play has been ruled out but the cause has not been firmly determined. It’s estimated the total loss at around $40,000.
