The City of Twin Falls partnered with the Twin Falls Highway District to install additional signals at the intersection of Blue Lakes Boulevard South and Orchard Drive.

The intersection, which was previously a two-way stop for vehicles on Orchard Drive, is now a four-way stop that requires drivers on Blue Lakes Boulevard to also come to a complete stop. The new signals also include flashing red lights to attract drivers' attention to the stop signs and to warn drivers of the intersection.

The City is sharing the $8,000 cost of installing the lights with the Highway District, as part of an effort to ensure the safety of motorists using the intersection. The City and the Highway District installed the additional signals on Nov. 30, 2015 to increase safety at the intersection.
