Project Soul isn't just busy with the upcoming free-to-play Soulcalibur: Lost Swords, as a new trademark hints a proper Soulcalibur sequel is on the way.

According to Siliconera, a trademark for Soulcalibur: Unbreakable Soul has been filed with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The trademark is for video game software, but also adds in networking capabilities, which means there will be some sort of online play involved.

There are no console systems listed, so it's a bit premature to start thinking about the possibilities of a next-gen Soulcalibur. Then again, just because the trademark is filed doesn't mean the game is anywhere near ready. For all we know, Unbreakable Soul could be Namco's first entry for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Until the developer actually announces the game, we'll just have to wait patiently to learn more.
