New Security in Twin Falls Schools

Security has become a huge issue at schools. School shootings are a concern for parents and administrators as well as bulling.

The Twin Falls School District recognizes that security is an issue. This summer they will begin installing new security cameras and card readers at schools.

According to magicvalley.com, school officials plan to spend $1.3 million in safety improvements at 13 campuses.

Old security cameras will be removed and replaced with high-definition systems.

All school entries will now have card readers that will limit the amount of entries and require everyone who enters to have permission.

Currently each elementary school only has six to eight operational cameras which isn't enough to provide coverage for the entire building. This won’t be an issue with the new cameras.
