New Law In Effect for Twin Falls Students

TWIN FALLS, Id ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) A new law will require all high school students to receive CPR training before they graduate.

It states that all graduating students beginning with the class of 2019 will need at least one class period of training.

At this time the Twin Falls School District requires one outside health project and CPR is one option.

Health teacher Allyn Reynolds believes it is a great skill to learn if a situation rises.

"Every once in a while you will get a student that comes back and share an experience that they had to do CPR on a family member or a friend and it's better than a raise. They will say I'm glad I took your class and I'm glad I took that option,” said Reynolds.

Reynolds only concern is how the school districts will fund the mandatory CPR training.
