New King Dedede Screens Reign Down on Super Smash Bros

Nintendo has just announced King Dedede will again be back in Super Smash Bros. on the Wii U and 3DS. Get a look at the new and improved pugilist penguin in a series of screenshots.

We've now got a roster of more than twenty different fighters confirmed for Super Smash Bros. Due out later this year, the fighter will be available on both the Wii U and 3DS (and 2DS), though the art styles will be slightly different.

Dedede should be a familiar face to you Smash Bros. veterans, but if you haven't been formally introduced, Dedede is Kirby's main nemesis from that franchise. Thus far, only four new combatants have been shown off, with the rest of the roster focused on returning favorites. Dedede's screens show off his massive mallet, as well as how well he gets along with other royal families.

We still don't have any idea when to expect Super Smash Bros. on either system, but hopefully Nintendo won't make us wait until E3 2014 to find out.
