TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- The College of Southern will be adding another degree program to its list. This time it will be in the field of food processing. CSI Announced this week it has received a $2.5 million grant to equip a degree program in Food Quality Management.

The grant comes from the US Department of Labor. CSI spokesperson Doug Maughan says the program will be directly tied to area manufacturing companies such as Idaho Milk Products and Jerome Cheese. The curriculum and much of the training will be planned and guided by the companies.

The College of Southern Idaho is the only institution in Idaho to receive part of a larger $474.5 million grant. The program will be located in the Applied Technology building currently being built at the campus.
