(KLIX)- There’s a new chief  in the city of Jerome. Officials announced Deputy Chief Jack Krill has take over as the Fire Chief effective November 1st. He was hired in 2011 as the deputy chief. Krill has served fire departments in Alaska and other parts of Idaho and working in the field since 1991. Krill graduated from the Nation Fire Academy’s Executive Fire Officer Program and holds a Bachelors of Science in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering Technology. He also has a Master of Science in Fire and Emergency Management.
