The old Zulu's building on Addison has been taken over by a new Cafe called, "The Pit". The cafe opened at the end of April and has since been serving coffee, fresh doughnuts and home-made barbecue sandwiches.

Check this out: the doughnuts are made with house-made glazes such as maple and bacon maple! Yum!

Magicvalley.com reports that the Pit's meats are dry rubbed with a signature blend of 14 spices and slow roasted for 19 hours.

The Pit has a wine and beer license. The dining room and drive-through are open 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday and 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. The Pit After Hours in its upstairs dining room. Hours are 4-10 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays, and 4 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays.
