In a scant few weeks, we'll see NBC scaring up an all-new season of Bryan Fuller's darkly delicious 'Hannibal,' moving us more than a few steps closer to the infamous cannibal killer behind the glass. We've seen plenty of photos and artful footage to date, but gather up some fava beans and Chianti for our best look yet in an extended trailer!

Apart from a bit of off-kilter voiceover narration (and hey, we rave about the show too!), the new look at NBC's 'Hannibal' doesn't answer our questions as to what might pit the good Dr. Lecter (Mads Mikkelsen) and Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) at odds, though we at least have plenty of new imagery beyond the first few episodes. In particular we see Will Graham (Hugh Dancy) evoking even more imagery from Anthony Hopkins' tenure as Hannibal Lecter, as NBC's incarnation currently has Will locked up with Hannibal free and clear on the outside, taking Will's place with the FBI.

Elsewhere, series creator Bryan Fuller has confirmed Raul Esparza’s return to ‘Hannibal’ season 2 as Dr. Frederick Chilton, while ‘X-Files‘ vet Gillian Anderson will reprise her role as Hannibal’s therapist Dr. Bedelia Du Maurier, as will Eddie Izzard as Dr. Abel Gideon, along with confirmed season 2 roles for ‘Sex and the City’ vet Cynthia Nixon and ‘Homeland‘ player Martin Donovan. ‘Justified‘ Emmy-winner Jeremy Davies will portray an animal rescue worker accused of murder, with ‘Arrested Development' star Chris Diamantopoulos as his social-worker.

Perhaps most excitingly of all however, 'Boardwalk Empire' alum Michael Pitt will play iconic literary Hannibal villain Mason Verger, with 'Being Human' star Katharine Isabelle as his tortured sister Margot.

Take another look at the newest season of 'Hannibal' above, and tell us in the comments if you'll tune in for the February 28 premiere!
