WENDELL, Idaho (KLIX)- A Murtaugh man traveling on the interstate near Wendell had to be air lifted to the hospital Tuesday evening.

According to Idaho State Police Michael Blankenship, 62, was heading east in a 1999 Corvette when they say he failed to negotiate a curve and hit the guardrail. ISP say the car kept going and hit a concrete barrier.

Blankenship was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. He was airlifted to a Boise hospital. Part of the eastbound lane of I-84 was blocked for two hours.
