Mountain Home Airman Admits to Death of Infant

MOUNTAIN HOME, Idaho (KTVB) -- A Mountain Home airman has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder for the death of his 22-month-old stepson.

Richard Laubach made the plea in an Elmore County courtroom Monday. Laubach was charged in March 2013 after the death of Joseph Graham. Police say Laubach and the toddler were alone in a Mountain Home apartment when the boy suffered traumatic head injuries.

The child died the next morning a Boise hospital. Court records show Laubach has a history of child and spousal abuse. His sentencing hearing is scheduled for September 19.
