The latest Mortal Kombat X trailer has made its way to the Internet, and it showcases the recently revealed Thunder God Raiden and all of his fancy lightning-based tricks.

Series creator Ed Boon himself stars in the two-minute video and walks us through all three of Raiden's fighting style Variations. First is the Thunder God set, which adds additional hits to certain normal attacks and enhances all lightning-based attacks. Next is the Displacer, which allows Raiden more mobility via teleportation and "sparkport" attacks and enhancements. The last Variation, which is shown on the character select as "Master of Storms" but called "Storm Lord" by Ed Boon, allows Raiden to create static traps of electricity throughout the battlefield, which greatly changes his strategy in combat.

The video ends with an eye-popping preview of one of his Fatalities, the same one that was shown to the Evo 2014 crowd upon his announcement. With GamesCom next week, NetherRealm was smart to get this introduction out of the way so they could focus on the upcoming MKX announcements. Of course, we may already know one of them, but anything new from NetherRealm will be worth a peek.

Mortal Kombat X launches in 2015 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
