Mom Drags Her Son By the Ear – Good or Bad?

I was in the grocery store yesterday and I witnessed a mom dragging her son out of the store by the ear.  She had that look on her face. You know, the one your mom gave you when she had "... had it UP TO HERE!"  Been there.

What surprised me a little were all the looks that she was getting.  And I'm not just talking about the natural attention caused by the commotion but the looks of disgust and disapproval... It was apparent to me that some onlookers considered her actions abusive.
