Someone has finally caught the legendary Big Boss — Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be having its worldwide launch this fall.

Kotaku reports that an IGN video accidentally leaked the release date of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. The video, which has since been removed, was intended to launch tomorrow morning at 9:00 AM. Someone behind the scenes must have accidentally made it public, and NeoGAF poster Nibel caught the slip-up for all to see. The video allegedly featured Metal Gear Solid series creator Hideo Kojima telling the world (via translator) the release date of The Phantom Pain. During the video, Kojima also mentioned that his team at Kojima Productions is putting the finishing touches on MGS V. While the video mentioned that the release date of The Phantom Pain was for its worldwide debut, it did not specify if every platform would have access to MGS V on this date.

Based on Hideo Kojima's apparel at the 2015 Game Awards, the masses speculated that The Phantom Pain would debut on June 22. At the same time, we had a feeling Konami would want one of the most anticipated games of 2015 to be released a little bit closer to the holiday season.

According to the video leak, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will launch on Sept. 1. It is going to be released for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
