DARBY, Mont. (AP) — A company hauling huge loads of equipment to Fort McMurray in Alberta has finally been able to bring two loads into Montana.

The Ravalli Republic reports the 380-foot long, 450-ton load traveled over Lost Trail Pass into Montana and stopped south of Darby early Monday, where it drew crowds throughout the day.

The load, part of a water purification unit, began moving at about 10 p.m. Monday, rumbled through Hamilton at about midnight and stopped at the Lolo weigh scales. The load next travels through Missoula to Bonner. KGVO-AM reports the load will remain at Bonner for about two weeks while it is moved to a different trailer. Omega-Morgan spokeswoman Holly Zander says a second load, which is about 350 feet long and 402 tons, moved over Lost Trial Pass and stopped south of Darby early yesterday.
