Man Sentenced in Twin Falls to Life in Prison found Dead in Cell
Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - A 48-year old man who was sentenced in Twin Falls County in October of 1999 to life in prison has been found dead in a Maximum Security Prison cell.
Idaho Department of Correction staff found Donald Peters Shriver, unconscious in his cell on Sunday at 11:12 p.m. Shriver was rushed to a Boise hospital where he was pronounced dead. He was serving a life sentence.
His criminal record includes convictions for robbery, assault on a law enforcement officer and aggravated battery in Twin Falls County, aggravated assault in Ada County and assault on a law enforcement officer in Fremont County.
The Ada County Sheriff’s office is investigating the circumstances surrounding Shriver’s death.
