Man Leads Jerome Authorities On High Speed Chase

JEROME COUNTY, Id ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) One man is in custody after a high speed chase in Jerome County Tuesday afternoon. The Jerome County Sheriff's Office tells us Justin Blade McCormick stole a Ford Expedition from the Walmart parking lot and was later spotted by a Jerome County deputy heading South on Golf Course road. That's when he took off at speeds reaching upwards of 100 MPH. He then headed northbound on Highway 93 to Highway 25 turning East.

McCormick eventually stopped near milepost 18 when he saw a roadblock with spike strips. He had just been released Monday from the Jerome County jail on a disturbing the peace charge.
