BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Boise police say a 32-year-old man has died after he fell into the Boise River.

His name was not released. Police say the incident that occurred Saturday morning appears to be an accident. They say the man was fishing when others saw him fall into the swift-moving water about 7 a.m. and was swept downstream.

He was in the water for nearly an hour before rescuers found him and pulled him out. He later died at a hospital.
