TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- A man is behind bars after causing a commotion and breaking merchandise at a Twin Falls home improvement store early Tuesday morning.

According to Twin Falls City Spokesperson Josh Palmer police responded to Lowe's at around 7:45 a.m. to man who is accused of breaking items in the store and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Police learned the man was screaming and yelling there had been someone with a gun. When police arrived they found the person outside of the store. A brief struggle started before police could place him into custody.

Palmer says the man may have been suffering from a form of excited delirium. He was cleared by medical staff and booked into the Twin Falls County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct, obstruction, malicious injury to property and being under the influence of a controlled substance in public.
