Jerome, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Jerome Police say they were called to the parking lot of Walmart in Jerome Sunday afternoon after they were notified of a fight in progress.

The call for help came in around 1:15 p.m. Jerome Police Chief Dan Hall said when officers arrived they found a person holding a man down. He told authorities that he didn’t know why he was being followed by the suspect.  When authorities attempted to detain the man, he resisted. Police say they had to tase the suspect in order to gain control.

They said they don’t believe he was under the influence of alcohol when they made the arrest.  Stephen James Butler, 27 of Jerome was charged with Assault, Disturbing the Peace and Resisting Arrest.
