Maleficent and Her Cheekbones are Coming to Disney Infinity 2.0

She's the fierce-looking sorceress who can turn into a dragon that spews green flames and looks metal as hell. And now Maleficent is making her way to Disney Infinity 2.0.

The good folks at JoyStiq report that the much-maligned (and much-celebrated), Maleficent will be joining the rest of the new characters in Disney Infinity 2.0. As you can see from her figure above, her design is a blend of the classic animated character's look from 1959's 'Sleeping Beauty' and the look of the eponymous character portrayed by Angelina Jolie in 'Maleficent.'

She was previewed by Disney Interactive Studios at an event in San Francisco, CA on Wednesday, May 28, along with Princess Merida, from 'Brave.' The devious sorceress with the horned headwrap was chosen to become a part of Disney Infinity thanks to social polls, where her popularity proved enough to get her invited to the festivities, unlike in 'Sleeping Beauty.'

Look out for both Maleficent and Merida when Disney Infinity 2.0 launches in Fall 2014 for Nintendo, PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
