SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Salt Lake City officials are drawing up plans for a $2 billion total remake of the city's airport. Mountain views, faster takeoffs and workout equipment are a few things they're considering in that design.

Officials say the project won't dip into taxpayer dollars and will rely instead on fees collected from airlines, ticket sales and other revenue streams. Delta operates a hub there, piloting about three out of four flights that take off from Salt Lake City.

Workers are set to break ground on the project next spring and finish it by 2024. Officials are now asking for public comment with ideas on what to include in the redesign. Travelers can weigh in on the airport's website.
