Hagerman, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) Water is now flowing from Magic Springs to the Rangen fish farm in Hagerman.

The pipeline was built by the Idaho Ground Water Appropriators as part of a deal to deliver water to the senior water holder and avoid curtailment. Users missed the initial deadline to get water to Rangen, because a section of the pipe didn't meet spec. Saturday was the new deadline set after the curtailment was stayed.

"The facility will be able to provide what the department requires us to do in the phase in period as it comes due. That will prevent the cities, the dairies and agriculture in the Magic Valley from being curtailed by this order”, said Lynn Carlquist, chairman of the North Snake Groundwater District.

The pipeline and pump station built by the groundwater districts has the price tag of 4 million dollars.
