LoCash Put the Jam in Country Jam With Hot Hour-Long Set
LoCash know how to party, and they brought it along with them to play Country Jam 2015 on Thursday (June 18). From the very start of their opening song "C.O.U.N.T.R.Y," fans were up out of their seats clapping and dancing. Chris Lucas and Preston Brust were rockin' Rolling Stones and Metallica cutoff shirts and jeans, along with their stylish Stetson hats.
The crowd responded well to LoCash's new tunes, including "I Know Somebody," "Shipwrecked" (also the name of their signature wine) and "What We Got."
"We've been coming here for about 10 years," Lucas shared with the rowdy 2015 Country Jam crowd. "This is the first time in my life I've seen a pool," he furthered, gesturing to an inflatable pool. "Hey, did y'all pee in that? Because if you haven't, I'm sure that's where me, Preston and Storme Warren are going to be later. We'll bring the guys from Parmalee, too!"
"Here Comes Summer" — the first song LoCash ever put out to country radio — was the perfect one to play on such a hot day (temperatures touched 100 in Grand Junction Thursday). Fans had no shame holding their drinks high in the air during "Drunk Drunk" and singing loudly, "One Long Island, two Long Island, three Long Island, four!"
Brust encouraged, "I know it's hot out here, it's like 100 degrees. That just means we're going to turn the heat up some more!" The two country stars played their redneck anthem "Hey Hey Hey" next and effortlessly segued into Def Leppard's "Pour Some Sugar on Me". They also covered ZZ Top's "Tush" and TLC's "Waterfalls."
The guys of LoCash sure do have fun when they're on stage (off, too), and sometimes that means crackin' jokes at the audience. Brust had no shame singling out three guys in the crowd who were sitting down, telling them, "I didn't know Rascal Flatts were here. You guys gotta stand up!" The three shirtless young men stood up right away and laughed, as they were on the jumbotron.
LoCash closed their hour-long set with "I Love This Life," which is when fans rushed to the stage. "Oh we got a party going on now!" Brust shouted. "If there's one last thing you remember today, it's to download 'I Love This Life'" he added.
If there's one thing we learned at Country Jam, it's that people love them some LoCash!
